As of the 14th December 2007 all properties in England and Wales are required to have a Home Information Pack (HIP).

Properties can be marketed without a completed Home Information Pack as long as there is evidence that it has been ordered.

The basic Home Information Pack will include an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), evidence of title, local authority search as well as drainage and water searches.
